And They're Off ...
Evan & I had a great Friday together! We started off getting pedicures - she got a manicure also. There is something to be said about a fresh pedicure. We then met Mike for lunch at China Inn. Evan's favorite food is Egg Drop Soup, so we try to appease her every once in a while. I have found a package mix that is so easy and good that she would have for every meal if I would let her. Then it was off to the races. We spent about an hour at Louisiana Downs. We 'inspected' the horses in the Paddock, made our bet (it's a good thing Evan had cash because I sure didn't), watched our horse stay in first place until the last 15 seconds, and then watched our horse fall to next to last place! At least it was only $6 down the drain. She bought a cowgirl hat that looks so cute on her. It was so hot and humid while we were outside watching the actual race that Evan decided she wanted to head to the movie sooner rather than later. SO, we went to see G-Force and topped the evening off with dinner at Coldstone. A perfect day!
Evan & Her Friend Sara
Over the 4th of July weekend we spent some time at the Boardwalk eating, shopping and going to see Ice Age 3. While we were walking aroud, we ran into Sara and her parents. We only see each other about 2 times a year, but Evan and Sara play together like they are sisters - only they don't fight. They are so cute together!

Rock Star Slumber Party
Evan had a Rock Star Slumber Party a few weeks ago. We had individual pizzas for dinner before we started the crafts. I was very proud that they ate more of the apples and carrots than pizza. The girls made their own Rock Star bracelets and cardboard guitars. The girls then karaoked (is that a word?) for a while. As you can see from the video, Evan had a fantastic time. Evan and Kassi were asleep by 11 pm. Bailee, Trista, and Emma fell asleep sometime after midnight. Evan was the first to wake up and could not wait to wake up those sleepyheads. I took them to McDonald's for breakfast so they could play and expend some energy. I am so glad Evan is finally at the age where we can do some of these fun things. I really enjoy watching these girls grow up.
