Mother's Day

This picture was taken at my Grandmother's on Mother's Day. Evan and Chandler played games on everyone's IPhones all afternoon. Evan will probably end up with carpal tunnel before too long! Evan and I went to Longview for lunch with my side of the family. It was nice to hang out with everyone for a few hours. Evan was so excited to give me my gift - a gift certificate for a pedicure. I can't wait to use it...by myself!

ArtBreak

One of the crafts Evan loved - she painted a plastic fish and then rubbed it with paper.

ArtBreak is an awesome event held the first of May every year at the convention center. All the local schools submit artwork by many of the students and then showcase them. There are choirs, dance groups, and special acts showcased, too. Evan's favorite part is the many stations for various crafts. We always enjoy spending hours here, and the best part is that it is free! Evan's sunflower won a blue showcase ribbon and was displayed, although we never found it. The best we could do was take a picture beside her school's sign.

Potato Sack Race and 25 Yard Dash

Evan did such a great job at everything she did! I loved that she had a smile on her face almost the whole time. I know these are pretty boring pictures unless you are her parent or grandparent, but they so tell the story of what simple joys are found in childhood. We just love this little girl!

Tug-O-War and Egg Relay

So excited to win!

Evan's class won 3 out of 4 Tug-O-Wars. She was so excited to be at the front of the line. They did an egg relay, and most of the children walked pretty slowly to keep the egg on the spoon. Evan took off at a quick gallop and kept going. She only dropped the egg once.

Field Day 2010

BFF Kassidy
Friday was Field Day at Legacy. Evan had a blast! It amazes me that she is such a natural at 'sports'. She was great at all the relays.

Easter

We normally have several Easter egg hunts in the days leading up to Easter, but this year we only hunted those the Easter Bunny left! Evan wanted to wear her bathing suit cover up instead of her Easter dress.

Sleeping Beauties

I just love this picture! Evan was so tired one afternoon, and the only way I could talk her into resting was if Chloe snuggled with her. I came back a few minutes later and found this. And yes, Chloe does sleep on her back.
