Medical Exam

This morning Sydney started out crying when I picked her up out of the crib, but she began tolerating very quickly. On the way to Shamian Island for her medical exam and some shopping, she sat on my lap and played Patty Cake. She seemed to enjoy it and would put her hands back in position as soon as we finished each round. She weighs 24.7 lbs and is 33 inches tall. We've been concerned that she had severe scoliosis in the lower part of her back, but the doctor had her stand straight up, and it disappeared. I guess it is just bad posture. She did not like her TB test at all! Here's hoping it does not show positive so we do not have to have an X-ray. She and Evan walked around the shops having a blast while we shopped. During lunch she started actually moving around instead sitting and remaining distant. She even started swinging her arms as she walked holding Evan's hand. She even let me hold her quite a bit without throwing a fit. I grabbed her hand on the way back while crossing the street, and that winning streak ended. She is now back to crying around me. She didn't pull away as usual, though. It is about 2 hours past her naptime, so maybe this nap will help. From what little bit of her personality we saw this morning, she can be very cute and not such a dragon!

Each day sounds like Sydney is adjusting more. Evan was tso good to be true! Each child is different even when they have the same parents and don't forget you are dealing with a 2 year old here :) Kacee has learned that while Dane may be delayed in many areas he is almost two and right on schedule. So happy that the physical turned out good. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers. Evan is certainly being a delightful big sister. We love you, Max and Jan

Thanks, Conlins. I knew we wouldn't have the same experience, but Evan sure spoiled us.
