Happy St. Patrick's Day

We celebrated St. Paddy's Day early with the 3rd annual St. Patrick's Day parade. This is the second year Mike has marched in it with his pipes but the first year I've been able to go. This is the perfect parade because there are plenty of throws and it only lasts about 15 minutes!

Evan & Chloe

Mike took these pictures so we could send one to the lady who gave Evan the puppy. Chloe does not look real - she looks like a little Webkinz! She is such a sweet little thing.

Best Seat in the House

I know this isn't a very good picture, but it was so cute! We took Chloe to Longview with us yesterday, and she was so upset. It took her at least 30 minutes to wear herself out crying before she found her comfort spot. She climbed up Evan to lay across her shoulders and was perfectly content. She eventually slid down and enjoyed riding behind Evan's back.

A Dream Come True...

Evan has wanted a puppy for such a long time. Even before Meko died and she would carry Daisy around the whole time we were at Keri's, she would talk about getting a puppy. After Meko died, we decided we would see what life would be like without any pets. Well, we lasted about 3 months! Mike took a burglary report a month or so ago from a lady who had several puppies she was trying to find homes for. They were part Maltese and part Shi Tzu. She begged him to take one. A week ago we picked up the puppy and then picked Evan up from school. She was so excited! She named her Cocoa but then switched to Chloe. Chloe is so very sweet and loves Evan. Evan carries her everywhere she goes and has done a great job caring for her. I am so impressed with how responsible she's been.

She Lost Another One!

Three days after she lost her first tooth, Evan was pulling her sleeve with her teeth and pulled another one really loose. It was over the weekend and wouldn't let ANYONE touch it because she wanted the attention of losing it at school. She also wanted Mrs. Quinlan to pull it. Monday morning finally came, Evan went to school, and Mrs. Quinlan pulled it for her. Her teeth are so small!
When I asked her how much this one should be worth, she at first said $100. I finally got her to agree that $4 was a fair amount for a second tooth.
