The 100th Day of School
Last Friday was Evan's 100th day of school. She had a blast and made this cool hat! We just adore this little girl. She has started getting herself up and ready again. This time she is making her bed and getting her own breakfast - this may consist of BabyBel cheese and milk or Sunny D.

Awards Assembly
Last Tuesday was Evan's awards assembly for this report card period. We were so proud of her because not only did she get an award for knowing all of her Sight Words but also for being the 'Terrific Kid'. Each class chooses a girl and a boy to be get the 'Terrific Kid' award each reporting period. This child possesses a positive attitude, good character, and responsible citizenship. When I told her how proud I was of her for being chosen to receive the 'Terrific Kid' award, she said "But Mom, I'm always terrific!" What confidence!

Happy New Year!
We had our 2nd annual New Year's fondue party with the Wilson's complete with a little bubbly and pot banging. Around 9 pm the adults were trying to figure out how to fool Bailee (Evan & Kassidy would never realize we were fooling them) into thinking it was actually midnight. We just wanted to celebrate and go to bed! BUT, we made it to midnight! We had our black-eyed peas in Texas caviar so here's to a great 2010!
Evan and the Chipmunks
During our time off during the Christmas holidays, we went to see the new Chipmunk movie. I always love going to see a movie with Evan because I'm usually able to take a little nap.
A Few More
I had to include these pictures. Evan adores her Big Girl, but I seldom ever get pictures of the two of them. While we were having target practice, Evan and Big Girl walked Daisy. While we waited for Keri and Chandler to finish, I took advantage of some free time to take a few pics in front of my great-grandmother's old house. I can remember spending hours on the front porch swing. Where did those days go?
Hunting the Chupacabra
Where did the Chupacabra go?
Charlie's Angels?
About a year and a half ago we went to 'the farm' in New Diana and found what we like to refer to as the chupacabra. This year Chandler got a pink BB gun for Christmas, so we went to 'the farm' for some target practice. Now Evan loves to be a tomboy, so I thought she would enjoy this. I had to force her to hold Chandler's gun.

Christmas Day at Mimi & PaPa's
As we were pulling into MiMi and PaPa's, we met Keri on his way to the hospital. After waiting several hours, It was finally determined that Madison had an appendicitis. She ended up having surgery around 8 pm Christmas night.
While she was getting some pain meds in the hospital, Evan and Chandler had a snowball fight with Uncle Roland. Aunt Kim and Uncle Roland live in Ft. Worth where it had just snowed and iced. They had enough wet snow ideal for packing into a snowball in the back of their truck. Unbcle Roland is such a good sport. They all three came inside quite wet! What a memorable Christmas!
