Out of the Mouths of Babes

On the way to church this morning, Evan asked me when I was going to
get a job. I asked her what she thought I did while she was at
daycare or school. She said ,"You go to restaurants and eat lunch
with your friends everyday."

Grandma Jean's Graduation

A few weeks ago Mike's mom received her Associate's Degree from Louisiana
Tech. Evan told her that she was way too old to be graduating. She should
have graduated before she got married! I guess our brainwashing is working!
Anyway, it gave Evan a chance to spend some time with her cousins. She
seldom ever gets a chance to play with them, so this was a treat. She and
Jax even talked her Aunt Cody into letting her spend the night the next
week.

Chloe's First Pup Cup

Counter Culture makes the best yogurt! The plain is a little sour
with all natural ingredients. It's definitely an acquired taste. A
Humphrey is this sour yogurt with strawberries, grapes, bananas,
granola and honey and is so awesome! Evan loves the chocolate
yogurt. Thanks to Uncle Bob and Aunt Tain, we found out that they
will give you a pup cup if you take your dog. Tonight was the night
for Chloe's first pup cup. She absolutely loved it! Of course this
should not be surprising since dogs eat just about anything, right?
She even likes the bitter spray you use to keep puppies from chewing
on things!

A Bike Ride

Since I got a new bike for my birthday, we took my old one to MiMi's
to see how she liked it. Evan had to bring her along so they could go
on a bike ride together. I think that was the highlight of our visit.

POOPED!

Evan spent the night with Jax Wednesday night and then Jax spent the night with us Thursday and Friday nights. They were so busy the whole time that this is what I found when I realized they had gotten way too quiet on the way to meet up with Cody.

China Activities

So, if you look to the side you'll see our itinerary while in China. I know our reason for being there is to make it possible for Sydney to join our family, but I seriously hope we'll have more scheduled sightseeing while in Guangzhou. We're staying in Marriott hotels the whole way, so at least there should be decent food available; however, we will definitely miss the energy of the White Swan. With waterfalls, tropical gardens and awesome stores all inside, it is the prettiest hotel I've ever seen.
Across from the hotel in Guangzhou is a McDonald's, and somewhere in the city is a Papa John's. We'll be staying downtown, and practically attached to the hotel is a huge shopping area with quite a few restaurants.
It almost seems unbearable that we have 17 more days before we leave. Really we have 18 more days because the 23rd we are only flying to Dallas. We'll spend the night at the airport hotel and then leave bright and early from there on the 24th.

Black Bayou

Evan got to go to the lake with the Wilson's one afternoon. She had such a great time swimming and collecting shells. Thanks Mr. Billy and Ms. Julie!
